What does a Community Mobilizer do?

Community Mobilizers are people like you who we pay to contact infrequent voters in their own personal network.

This work is flexible ā€” Community Mobilizers are expected to talk with 35 people they know per week about the upcoming election, and check in with their Progressive Turnout Project Organizer on a regular basis. This form of direct voter contact is known as Relational Organizing.

Are Community Mobilizers paid? How much?

Community Mobilizers are independent contractors who will be paid at a rate of $250 per week. This amount will be paid in full at the end of the role by paychecks or direct deposit.

What are the dates that Community Mobilizers will work?

Community Mobilizers will work the last week of this runoff election, starting on November 29 and ending on Election Day, December 6, 2022.

What are the hours Community Mobilizers are expected to work?

There are no set hours for this role. Community Mobilizers can talk with their personal network whenever is most convenient for them. We do ask that Community Mobilizers plan to do some outreach to people they know on Election Day, December 6, 2022.

Who can become a Community Mobilizer?

Anyone over the age of 18 who has a substantial number of friends, family, and coworkers in the Atlanta metro area.

Iā€™m already employed. Can I be a Community Mobilizer?

Absolutely! Since this role does not require any 9-5 work, Community Mobilizers are free to do this work whenever, wherever, and however they wish. We welcome applications from people with busy schedules.

Are Community Mobilizers expected to do any in-person work?

Nope! This role can be done fully remotely.

Do I need to have any political experience?

No! Nobody is better at getting your friends, family and neighbors to vote than you are. We will provide a thorough orientation about relational organizing and the tools we use for the project.
