New Jersey Globe: Group Will Spend $350k To Turnout Voters For Sherrill

A political action committee says it will spend $350,000 to turn out voters for Mike Sherrill in the general election.
Progressive Turnout Project (PTP) says they now have eleven staff members based in Fairfield who will canvass the district through the summer and fall in a bid to flip the 11th district House seat to the Democrats.
“When voter turnout is high, Democrats win elections,” said Executive Director Alex Morgan. “Our team will be pounding the pavement every day between now and November 6 to flip this district blue.”
PTP says they will spend $8 million in eighteen target districts nationally to help Democrats take control of Congress.
“Face-to-face conversations are proven to be the most effective way to get out the vote,” said Morgan. “Our team is trained to focus on engaging in quality conversations with likely Democrats to ensure those voters have their voice heard in the next election.”
Sherrill, who won the Democratic nomination for Rodney Frelinghuysen’s open seat last week with 77% of the vote, will face Republican Assemblyman Jay Webber (R-Morris Plains) in the fall.
