Progressive Turnout Project Applauds Supreme Court Decision on Virginia Racial Gerrymandering Case
Progressive Turnout Project Executive Director Alex Morgan released the following statement regarding the Bethune Hill v. Virginia State Board of Elections decision:

“Today the Supreme Court, just like Virginia Democrats, recognized that racial gerrymandering has no place in our political process,” said Executive Director Alex Morgan.
“Regardless of party affiliation, gerrymandering of any kind should not be tolerated by any party, politician, or court. Voters should be able to trust that their government won’t mistreat them for political gain, and we’re proud that the Supreme Court agrees. This kind of standard will bring positive change in elections for years to come, and we celebrate with the activists who helped get this issue in front of the court.”
“Progressive Turnout Project will continue to do all it can to support efforts toward fair political processes and continue to monitor voting–related issues as they arise.”
