Progressive Turnout Project Launches Turnout Fellows Program
31 Democratic candidates receive GOTV boost from grassroots-funded organization
CHICAGO—Progressive Turnout Project today announced the launch of the Turnout Fellows Program, an initiative to train full-time fellows to support competitive campaigns in the final weeks before the November 6 election. The grassroots-funded organization recruited and trained 57 Turnout Fellows who will assist 31 of its endorsed candidates between now and Election Day.
“Since our launch 3 years ago, our staff have knocked on millions of doors and had hundreds of thousands of conversations with inconsistent Democratic voters in some of the most competitive elections across the country,” said Executive Director Alex Morgan. “This year we brought on a Fellows Program Coordinator to take our field-focused philosophy right to the candidates themselves and we believe the Turnout Fellows Program will get out the votes needed to elect our candidates to Congress on Election Day.”
In July, PTP hired CeCe Grant to serve as the organization’s Fellows Program Coordinator to recruit and train Turnout Fellows. Grant developed the program based on PTP’s existing case studies and is responsible for placing fellows with campaigns and monitoring their progress.

Progressive Turnout Project is a grassroots-funded political action committee with a single mission: get Democrats to the polls.
