Progressive Turnout Project Launches Voter Turnout Program in Virginia’s Tenth Congressional District
Organization plans to spend more than $200,000 in race to replace Barbara Comstock

STERLING— Progressive Turnout Project (PTP) will spend more than $200,000 on a comprehensive voter-turnout program ahead of the November election. The organization will send Field Representatives door-to-door to talk with inconsistent Democratic voters about the importance of the race and why they should commit to vote.
“When voter turnout is high, Democrats win elections,” said Executive Director Alex Morgan. “That’s why our team will be pounding the pavement every day between now and November 6 to replace Barbara Comstock.”
The organization has an office based in Sterling, Virginia and five staff members who will canvass the district throughout the summer and fall.

Last year PTP ran successful voter-turnout programs in five Northern Virginia House of Delegate districts. PTP programs helped elect Democratic Delegates Jennifer Carroll Foy, Danica Roem, Elizabeth Guzman, Kathy Tran, and Lee Carter.
“Face-to-face conversations are proven to be the most effective way to get out the vote,” said Morgan. “Our team is trained to focus on engaging in quality conversations with likely Democrats to ensure those voters have their voice heard in the next election.”
Virginia’s tenth congressional district is one of Progressive Turnout Project’s 18 target districts. The organization announced an $8 million program investment ahead of the November 6 election. Democrats need to flip 23 districts to take back control of the House of Representatives.
