Progressive Turnout Project Urges Board of Elections to Resume Investigation in NC-09 Election
Progressive Turnout Project Executive Director Alex Morgan released the following statement regarding the new appointments to the North Carolina State Board of Elections

“Today’s Board of Elections appointments are a welcome development as North Carolinians seek answers and democratically-elected representation in the 9th congressional district,” said Alex Morgan, Executive Director of Progressive Turnout Project.

“We urge the board to immediately resume the investigation into Republican Mark Harris’ involvement with voter suppression in Bladen County. Any evidence that votes were stolen should result in a new election so that North Carolina voters can be sure that they have honest representation in Congress.”

“Progressive Turnout Project continues to monitor news coming from the 9th congressional district and will work to increase voter education and participation in any special election. We refuse to sit on the sidelines while North Carolina voters are deprived of their fundamental right to vote.”

Progressive Turnout Project is a grassroots-funded political action committee with a single mission: get Democrats to the polls. PTP designs, tests, and executes specialized voter-turnout programs targeting inconsistent Democratic voters in the most competitive districts across the country. Since its inception in 2015, the organization has raised more than $26 million with a supporter base of over 3 million and invested in voter-turnout programs in 130 congressional races.
