Progressive Turnout Project is proudly dedicated to doing what Democrats do best….having one on one conversations with voters and getting Democrats to the polls.
In the past two elections, 61 Congressional races were decided by 5% or less (Michele Bachmann won by only 1.2% in 2012). Experts agree that turnout efforts can swing an election by as much as 5%. Progressive Turnout Project can be a game changer in these competitive districts by employing an army of expertly trained field representatives to engage with and turnout Democratic voters.
In the wake of Citizens United, Democratic candidates scramble to compete with an onslaught of attack ads from billionaires like the Koch brothers. Instead of only responding to negative ads with negative ads, Democrats need a robust investment in a data driven turnout effort to connect with voters and win elections.
Progressive Turnout Project will increase voter turnout and give Democratic Congressional Candidates the competitive advantage by:
