Progressive Turnout Project Endorses Katie Porter in CA-45
Candidate one of seven initial endorsements by national voter turnout organization

CHICAGO—Progressive Turnout Project today endorsed Katie Porter in California. The organization proudly stands alongside the consumer advocate who will help stand up for our democracy.
“Katie Porter has spent her career standing up to Wall Street banks on behalf of middle- and working-class families and now Progressive Turnout Project is proud to support her as she stands up for all Americans at the ballot box,” said Executive Director Alex Morgan
Today’s endorsements are part of a larger effort by Progressive Turnout Project to expand its impact in the 2018 election. The organization asks campaigns to complete an endorsement questionnaire that asks about critical voting rights issues such as the restoration of the Voting Rights Act, automatic voter registration, early voting, no-excuse absentee voting, and voter ID laws.
“Progressive Turnout Project is dedicated to expanding the electorate and getting out the vote, so it’s only natural that we support candidates who are going to help strengthen those efforts when they have a seat at the table,” said Morgan.
