CHICAGO–Progressive Turnout Project endorsed State Sen. Jennifer McClellan for Congress in the special election to succeed the late Rep. Don McEachin. PTP Executive Director Alex Morgan released the following statement:

“Jennifer McClellan is the proven leader Virginians need to stand up and fight for them in Congress. Over the course of her career, she has demonstrated her commitment to the Commonwealth through her successful efforts to expand access to affordable healthcare, invest in schools, tackle climate change, and protect voting rights. She’s fought for working families in Richmond, and she is who we need fighting the good fight in Washington.”

“Election Day is just a few days away. Virginia Democrats can’t sit on the sidelines. We need every eligible Democrat to get out and vote on Tuesday, and rally their family and friends to get out the vote, too. Progressive Turnout Project is urging our Virginia supporters to get out and vote as well as volunteer with the McClellan campaign so that Virginia will continue to have a strong voice in Congress.”
