CHICAGO–Progressive Turnout Project is proud to announce the endorsement of 38 state legislative candidates across Nevada. These candidates are essential to protecting and expanding the Silver State’s Democratic trifecta.

These endorsed candidates will be eligible to participate in Progressive Turnout Project’s Campaign Fellows Program, which will bring an investment of up to $175,000 to selected Nevada candidates by directly supporting campaigns with a paid staff member dedicated to voter contact. Adding just one full-time staff member can make all the difference, especially in state legislative races, which typically see less attention.

“I won my first election by running an aggressive ground game and I know that’s true for many state legislators around the country,” said Assemblywoman Cecelia Gonzalez. “Progressive Turnout Project’s Fellows Program works directly with campaigns to provide additional support staff to races like mine where we know direct voter contact makes a difference on the outcome of the election. This is a needed and welcome program here in Nevada.” Assemblywoman Gonzalez is a member of Progressive Turnout Project’s Fellows Advisory Board.

This kind of direct voter contact is how elections are won—and PTP is thrilled to offer this level of support to Nevada Democrats.

“I appreciate the support of the Progressive Turnout Project, and for their investment in Nevada,” said Speaker Pro-Tempore Steve Yeager. “I know they will be an effective force in boosting voter turnout this November. Receiving their support will help ensure Democrats maintain legislative majorities to protect reproductive freedoms, lower healthcare costs, and combat climate change.”

“The Nevada Senate Democrats are proud to partner with the Progressive Turnout Project,” added Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro. “Through the Fellows program and other crucial investments in our state, we are working together to protect our governing majority and galvanize Democrats across the state.”

Progressive Turnout Project is investing up to $5 million to elect Democrats in state legislatures across the country to strengthen Democratic efforts to secure the future of our communities.
