The Progressive Turnout Project is backing two Democrats running in tough congressional swing seats. The group is backing Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, who represents the 26th Congressional District, which gets national attention each election cycle. She is likely to face Republican Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez. Progressive Turnout Project is also supporting state Rep. Margarette Goode, who is challenging incumbent Republican Rep. Vern Buchanan in the 16th Congressional District. The endorsements are part of 101 the group is making nationally.
