Progressive Turnout Project Endorses Antonio Delgado in NY-19
Candidate one of seven initial endorsements by national voter turnout organization
CHICAGO—Progressive Turnout Project today endorsed Antonio Delgado in New York. The organization proudly stands alongside the candidate calling for action on gerrymandering and voting rights.
“Antonio Delgado has made the American Dream central to his campaign and we believe he’s the best candidate to lift up the voices of upstate New Yorkers in Congress,” said Executive Director Alex Morgan.
Today’s endorsements are part of a larger effort by Progressive Turnout Project to expand its impact in the 2018 election. The organization asks campaigns to complete an endorsement questionnaire that asks about critical voting rights issues such as the restoration of the Voting Rights Act, automatic voter registration, early voting, no-excuse absentee voting, and voter ID laws.
“Progressive Turnout Project is dedicated to expanding the electorate and getting out the vote, so it’s only natural that we support candidates who are going to help strengthen those efforts when they have a seat at the table,” said Morgan.
