Progressive Turnout Project Endorses Haley Stevens in MI-11

LIVONIA—Progressive Turnout Project today endorsed Haley Stevens in Michigan. The organization is proud to support the candidate who will stand up for Michigan and safeguard the right to vote.
“At a time of economic crisis, Haley Stevens fought for Michigan auto workers and their families,” said Executive Director Alex Morgan. “Now Michigan has an opportunity to send Haley to Congress where she can defend Michigan residents from the disastrous Trump agenda.”
Stevens supports legislation like the Automatic Voter Registration Act, which would automatically register people to vote in their state, unless they opt out when they interact with a department of motor vehicles. She also supports other modernization efforts such as online voter registration and opposes efforts to restrict ballot access.
“Haley is the only candidate in this race who we trust to protect the right to vote and that’s why we proudly endorse her campaign for Congress,” said Morgan.
Today’s endorsement is part of a larger effort by Progressive Turnout Project to expand its impact in the 2018 election. The organization requests campaigns to complete and endorsement questionnaire that asks about critical voting rights issues such as the restoration of the Voting Rights Act, automatic voter registration, early voting, no-excuse absentee voting, and voter ID laws.
