Progressive Turnout Project Endorses Joe Neguse in CO-02
Candidate one of seven initial endorsements by national voter turnout organization
CHICAGO—Progressive Turnout Project today endorsed Joe Neguse in Colorado. The organization proudly stands alongside the civic leader and public servant who will help stand up for our democracy.
“Joe Neguse’s commitment to our democracy is evident through his work co-founding New Era Colorado which has now registered more than 150,000 young people across the state,” said Executive Director Alex Morgan.
Neguse has made the right to participate in American democracy a top issue in his campaign and is committed to critical pro-democracy reforms like public financing for elections and automatic voter registration.
“Joe understands the barriers many Coloradans face in casting their vote and has worked to make elections more accessible for all Americans,” said Morgan.
Today’s endorsements are part of a larger effort by Progressive Turnout Project to expand its impact in the 2018 election. The organization asks campaigns to complete an endorsement questionnaire that asks about critical voting rights issues such as the restoration of the Voting Rights Act, automatic voter registration, early voting, no-excuse absentee voting, and voter ID laws.
