Progressive Turnout Project Launches Voter Turnout Program in North Carolina’s Ninth Congressional District
Organization plans to increase voter turnout ahead of North Carolina special election

CHARLOTTE–Progressive Turnout Project will send trained Field Representatives door-to-door from now until the September 10 special election as part of a comprehensive voter-turnout program in North Carolina’s ninth congressional district.
“Last year’s election was literally stolen from voters in the ninth congressional district,” said Executive Director Alex Morgan. “Now more than ever, it’s crucial that we ensure every North Carolinian’s voice is heard in this special election. That’s why our field team is talking with inconsistent voters ahead of Election Day to ensure they have all the information they need to get to the polls.”
The organization has an office based in Charlotte and 9 full-time staff members who will be talking with voters.
“Having face-to-face conversations with voters is the best way to get out to vote,” said Morgan. “Our North Carolina team will focus on making sure these important conversations happen ahead of the September 10 special election to make sure every voter knows how important it is to cast their ballot.”
