Progressive Turnout Project Congratulates Senator Tammy Baldwin and Randy Bryce on Wisconsin Primary Victories
Progressive Turnout Project Executive Director Alex Morgan released the following statement regarding the Wisconsin Democratic Primary Election:

“Congratulations to Senator Tammy Baldwin and Randy Bryce on tonight’s victories in Wisconsin. This summer, Progressive Turnout Project has knocked on more than 20,000 doors across the 1st congressional district and collected nearly 2,000 commitments to vote. Our team is going to continue pounding the pavement between now and Election Day and we look forward to doing everything we can to replace Paul Ryan with Randy and defeat Wisconsin Republicans up and down the ticket on November 6.”
“Senator Baldwin embodies the fighting progressive spirit of Wisconsin and she has been a source of pride during some of the darkest times in the Badger State.”
“Perhaps nothing underscores the importance of Senator Baldwin’s election more than the impending nomination hearings of Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. We thank Senator Baldwin for her early opposition to this dangerous nominee as this Judge seeks to overturn Roe v. Wade and rip away affordable healthcare from millions of Americans.”
“In the 1st congressional district, we’re proud to be part of a progressive coalition that has already run Paul Ryan right out of this race. Our “Where’s Paul Ryan?” campaign last year and “How Come, Paul Ryan?” billboards this year highlighted Speaker Ryan’s failure to act as a local representative nor national leader. In his place, Republicans have put up their latest protege, Bryan Steil. We know Steil will be nothing more than a rubber stamp for Donald Trump’s disastrous agenda and it’s going to take a union ironworker like Randy to rebuild a broken Congress.”
“Now that we have our nominees, Progressive Turnout Project is ready to roll up our sleeves, grab our clipboards, and do everything we can to elect Tammy Baldwin and Randy Bryce in November.”
Progressive Turnout Project is on pace to spend at least $250,000 in Wisconsin’s 1st congressional district as part of a previously announced 18 district field program. The organization has an office and staff based in Racine.
